40 days & 40 Nights - Sunday #6

Hard to believe that Norah is 40 days old - and this was her 6th Sunday...Noah is getting more accepting of Mommy's drive to take a picture of Norah & him each Sunday. And just for kicks, we tried a family photo. Not great, but for your viewing pleasure...

Good Sleeper #2

I am so thankful that I have 2 kids who enjoy sleeping!!
Here's Lil'Miss who slept through the night last night!

Big Boy Bed

Wednesday (Aug. 20th) Noah marched upstairs for his nap & went straight to his big boy bed. Jeff & I tried introducing his bed to him BEFORE Norah was born & he wanted nothing to do with it. As it is with Noah - he simply does things when he feels like it. There was no mention of him sleeping on his bed, he simply walked over to it & laid down, like it was habit. He slept there the entire night on Wednesday & hasn't been back in his crib... it's been nice, because now we have Norah in the crib and out of our bedroom in the bassinet where she had started. AND - speaking of sleeping - Norah slept through the night last night - last bottle was at 9:30pm and she got up this morning at 6:15am. Woo hoo *

5 Weeks

I was taking Norah's 5-Week Picture (WOW, 5 weeks old today, where is the time going?!)... she sits up fairly well now, all by herself.and Noah decided he wanted to sit by his little sister...He likes to look at her,but it doesn't last long. He then wanted to watch his "Moo Movie" (Baby Einstein Animals...)He gathered his two favorite things: George & Noah-blanket and sat in his new favorite chair...and I told him to flash me a smile. He said, "Hi Grandma & Papa J, I love my chair!"

1 Month Old

Hey, Noah - look who's one month old today! Your sister...Norah! Happy 1-month, lil' Miss.I wasn't happy with just the one photo, so I played dress-up with Norah & put a pink (*gasp!) sundress on her...

And once again, that made Norah sleepy - and she fell asleep.

WOW - I really cannot believe that a month has passed already. I want to soak up every little second I can, but time escapes me. At one month, Norah has proven to be a good eater & sleeper - with only waking up ONCE in the night beginning at 3 weeks. Jeff & I sure are blessed with our children. Noah is beginning to really enjoy his sister - he likes to hold her & stare at her; he even tries to put her bink in or feed her. I don't want time to go by any faster, yet I look forward to when they will really be able to play together.

Ah, how I love these two...

Nephews

This past weekend Jeff & I spent a wonderful 4+ days with his parents. On Saturday (August 9th) it finally stopped raining & I went to the beach with my nephews. Val, my sister-in-law, asked me to bring the camera to take a few pictures & I'm sure glad I did! Luke & Dylan are super cute: here they are taking a walk down to the beach...Before reaching the beach, there was this fun staircase. This is Dylan - And this is Luke - who will be going into Kindergarten in a few weeks! (When Jeff & I first started dating, Val was pregnant with Luke - I can't believe how fast he's grown up!)And there was other fun things to take pictures of, too:Jeff's dad's boat is in the picture if you look closely - the boys always want to keep an eye on it!

Luke is such a good big brother! I wish we lived closer to them - they're so much fun and the beach is an added bonus!

Blueberry Pickin'

My parents, Jeff, Noah, Norah, and I went blueberry picking tonight at Lehman's... Noah got down & started exploring - as well as tasting...Between taking pictures, Jeff snagged the camera & got a picture of me - I'm one serious picker:
Noah & Grandma were having a blast in the patch...
Noah soon discovered Papa's pail...

Mmmmmmmmmmm
Norah soakin' it all in...
back to our Jeeps (oh yeah, we have matching vehicles!)Noah found a hay bale

Heading off the hill...
and we arrived home with 4 1/2 pounds of berries! The bushes were loaded - we hope to go again next week!
