Package from Derby

Noah has started to understand the concept of mail - and was THRILLED yesterday when he got his very own package.Oooh, I even got a card...
A blanket for Halloween!
And he was off and running - to sit on his rocking chair with his new blankie.
Thanks Grandma J - it's perfect!

Carving Time

I love pumpkins and I love carving them equally as much. Jeff proposed to me in 2003 after we carved pumpkins - so it's a special memory for us. Last year we carved pumpkins but Noah, only being 15-months at the time, wasn't into it. This year - it was a lot of fun to watch Noah experience all the pumpkin-glory.He had a great time seeing what was inside as well as touching (and tasting, yeh, silly kid) his pumpkin!Pop! Out came the nose! When we asked Noah what he wanted his jack-o-lantern to look like he said "happy." So, this is Noah's pumpkin:
Here we are, after carving the pumpkins. Can you guess who carved what? Our happy jack-o-lantern family... Norah, Noah, Mommy and Daddy.

DirecTV

It's a eerie looking Sunday afternoon - but if you look closely (far right) you'll see what got installed today!

That's Jeff looking out the window with a HUGE smile on his face. Norah, she's typically a happy girl, especially if she's being held. We're pretty excited to have DirecTV, as well as the fact that we'll have CBS again. Yay - I'll be watching Amazing Race tonight - or at least recording it on our new DVR! woot*

Movie Night

Last night was the 1st time we did an "official" movie night with Noah. We did bath time a bit earlier, got Noah in his jammies, turned off all the lights, lit candles, and popped popcorn.
Noah had never had popcorn before and boy, did he LOVE it!
Movie of choice: Disney's Robin Hood. One of my favs!
Noah likes Robin Hood, too!

What a fun night!

Happy, beautiful Columbus Day

Nothing is better than a day off of work and a beautiful 80-degree fall day! Noah got a chance to play in the leaves at grandpa & grandma's house.

Grandma is certainly Noah's best bud.
Papa and Noah are pals, too!

Concord Grapes

Only another reason to love fall:

Alma Pond

Thursday night (Oct. 9th) before going to the library, we first stopped at Alma Pond. Noah kept calling it Elmo Pond, and we told him to keep his eyes peeled for Elmo.

Jeff & Noah having a chat.
Then, Noah discovered a dandelion. We kept telling him to blow on it, not to eat it.

Norah was there, too... Noah likes to "check-in" on her to make sure she hasn't gone anywhere.

I think Noah had the most fun climbing the big rocks.

pumpkins, pumpkins

I love driving around and seeing pumpkins for sale in people's yards. After leaving Alma Pond, we pulled over at someone's house & let Noah pick his pumpkin out.
