Corning, Sunday - July 26th

Last Sunday Jeff & I took the kids over to Corning for the day. Growing up, my family always went to Corning & now it's a fun day-trip for us. We ate at Wegmans, then we actually stumbled upon the sidewalk-bizarre on Market Street. Then, we took the kids over to the fountain.Noah was a little apprehensive at first...Norah - isn't apprehensive at all:YAY!Noah would dip his toes in & then snuggle up with his monkey-towel.Norah, on the other hand, would have played all day.We had to tell Norah to STOP drinking from the puddles!!Across the way was an African Drumming guild - that was what Noah was interested in.He'd get up close & watch everyone drum.
This lady was really sweet & even let know give it a try.
Ah, Corning - you're such a pretty little city.

Corning IS a pretty great town. As much as I love Wegmans, I highly recommend the Old World Cafe on Market Street. That is if you can get there during the kitchen's odd hours. Really great (and healthy) food. I think the ice cream shop part stays open much longer than the kitchen, though, so it's always worth a stop.

and drinking out of the fountain...yuck! haha :)

maybe we can join you during your next visit. :)

We have always enjoyed Market Street in Corning - especially at Christmas time - so festive. It's funny how you can already tell that Norah will always be the "life of the party." (I can't imagine ever having been flexible or coordinated enough to bend over and drink like that!)
