Easter

Saturday, March 22nd, we spent with Jeff's parents. Noah's cousin, Devin's, birthday was on Easter Sunday, so Noah got to go to his party - as well as have an Easter egg hunt! He spotted his first egg (WHY did he find the PINK one first?!)I found one!He was very tickled that he could put his egg into his own goody-bag!Aunt Val was teasing Noah about all of his eggs!Wow! There's candy inside...We came back home to celebrate Easter at our own house & Noah wasn't so much into finding eggs Easter morning. He wanted to watch Lambchop - so this was during his first 2-3 egg excitement...And this is the classic family Easter Portrait '08 prior to heading to church. (Notice my Pregnancy Week #23 double chin)

2.27.08 First Cut

Noah went to Aquaria, the salon, for the first time on Wednesday. My cousin Eli's wife, Alicia, cut his hair for us... Noah did a great job. He acts like he does this everyday!

It's amazing that after a cut that Noah looks a few months older!

Spring come soon...

Life seems to be flying by before my eyes. In 5 days I'll be hitting week 20 of my pregnancy. Snow continues to blanket the land and we're all starting to get cabin fever. I have the day off from work today, so I have time to "catch up" on a few things, including my blog. I have my 2nd load of laundry in the dryer, homemade lasagna made for dinner, dishes done up, and a few minutes left before Noah wakes from his nap. Sometimes these things seem mundane, but I also seem to enjoy them all the same. As I sit here & think - I can't remember my life without Noah (and Jeff) in it. What joy they bring me. Noah is learning so fast, growing so fast; becomming a little man. As I once prayed for Noah before he was born, I now find myself praying for this little girl that we will meet in July. It seems unfathomable. Jeff & I have started planning the "rearranging" of the house, since Noah & his sister eventually will have their own bedrooms. Looks like the downstairs bathroom will be turned into a master bath, and within the next 3-4 years Jeff & I will turn the current computer/study room into our bedroom - allowing each of the kids to have their own bedroom upstairs.
Meanwhile, AJ & Sherry (my brother & sister-in-law) recently celebrated their 9-year anniversary, Jeff & my 4-year anniversary will be here in a few months, both Jeff's mom & my mom have March birthdays, Easter will be coming, and my cousin Laura will be getting married in September.
As the seasons bring change - life brings change, too - I must get ready to embrace it all.

Pied Piper

Jeff is a music teacher & is able to bring instruments home for Noah to "play with" from time to time. Noah's new favorite: the flutaphone. Nothing like a little music before bedtime!

Chores

Noah LOVES to help with chores. We often hear Noah scampering to the closet & he'll make the "Vrroooom" vacuum-noise & he wants us to vacuum. We tried just getting it out for him to play with, but he points to the outlet & wants it turned on. He use to be happy to watch Jeff vacuum, but now he must do it himself.

When he gets tired, he hops on the canister & wants Jeff to give him a ride. I hope he finds this much joy in vacuuming when he hits his teenage years!

Just like daddy...

I am continually amazed at how much Noah shadows everything Jeff does. Noah really enjoys his books, but at times, must sit in Daddy's chair & read Birds & Blooms.

372 months vs. 19 months

My birthday was on February 11th. Noah hit 19 months on Feb. 10th. Jeff invited my mom & dad, brother & sister-in-law over for a celebration. I made chocolate striped-delight - Noah loved it, too!

Graham cracker crust made, now for the cream-cheese layer... and voila- the finished product!

The following weekend, we went up to Derby to visit Jeff's family. Jeff took me to the Cheesecake Factory at the Galleria to celebrate again! It was SO good, despite the 2-hour wait to get in!

Nnnnnack?

Great Grandpa Joslyn had heard that Noah loves marshmallows & bought Noah this snack for a treat. Noah asks, "Nnnnnnnack?" when he wants a snack & then as he tasted these for his first time says, "Mmmmmm." These were a hit! We tell Noah that his snack came from Great Grandpa, BUT now whenever he has any snack he says, "Papa?" ...and we respond, "Yes, great Papa." What a sweetie.

Thankful

Noah had an MRI done at Buffalo Children's on January 21st. Results came back and everything is PERFECTLY normal!
We are so thankful for the good news - it looks like Noah's nystagmus was "simply" congenital after all - just something he was born with.
This means that no more tests need to be done.

God is so good.

Meanwhile, all of us (minus Noah) have had our bouts with the flu. Hopefully February will bring better health... it's tiring square-dancing about this house with this sickness.

Christmas

Christmas with a child has got to be one of the best things on earth. Jeff & I don't believe in going crazy with gifts on Christmas - but it was so much fun watching Noah enjoy the tree, stockings and presents.

Once Noah had opened his "George-in-a-box" he wanted nothing else - he LOVES it!

Thanksgiving

Not many pictures were taken during Thanksgiving - just the turkey prep, my apple pies & my dad playing with Noah - I guess once all the food was set out, we were all too busy eating...

This series of pictures makes me laugh. Noah, being the oldest of this "set" of cousins doesn't always seem the oldest. Mariah, she turned 1 back in late September, then Dylan turning one on Oct. 31st. 3 1/2 months seperate these 3, but right now, any photo shoots are nearly impossible!

Post 200, after quite some time...

WOW, where to begin after not blogging in so long. Time has flitted by too quickly, and with our computer being on the fritz, I got out of the routine of blogging.

October 31st was our nephew, Dylan's, 1st birthday.

Thanksgiving has come & gone - the week prior, us finding out that we are expecting our 2nd child this coming July. Friends, Jeff & Jodie McMullen paid us a visit, and then came the pouring in of Christmas cards...

Christmas has come & gone, too - as well as my cousin, Eli, getting married on Dec. 29th, and then my family's New Year's Eve party.

Now, it's January 1st and I'm nearing the end of my first trimester here in the next week. I am very thankful for that, as I have been left very tired most days.
